breeding program, we are
dedicated to improving the Akita breed. Each
of our dogs are part of the family and
are trained for good manners at home and
in Public. We will not use a dog for
breeding until we are convinced that it
is an outstanding Akita (both in mind and
in body). |
Our Foundation Stud is AOM CH. Samkita's Gamble
One's Fortune, CGC ("Keno") who had a very successful show career was "Ranked #5 Breed
Show Akita in the U.S. by Dog News
5/31/99." Keno has always been greatly admired for his
exceptional movement and his sweet,
loving temperament. We are thrilled to
have such an outstanding Akita as part of
our breeding program. |
The fact that we have
litters very rarely supports our belief
that producing exceptional Akitas
requires much planning and in-depth
knowledge.
We started in Akitas in
1990 (see Kokos Story) and have been heavily involved
in training and showing ever since. We show in both the
Breed and Obedience rings and have accomplished great
success in both areas. During this time, we have shown
to over 200 different Akita Breed
judges
and 50 different Obedience judges.
Obviously, we feel that there is no
substitute for experience.

Our foundation
bitch is Toki-O Kaji Soshite Kori, CD,
CGC. Kaji
is also a beautiful moving Akita with a
sweet, loving disposition. She is gifted
with an athletic build and has had
success in both the Breed ring and the Obedience
ring. She was the #1 Akita in
Companion Dog level Obedience in 1996 for
the entire United States.
We have been members of
the Akita Club of America since 1993 and
we are heavily involved with Public
Education about Akitas. In this regard,
we are happy to try to help Akita owners
or prospective Akita owners so that their
dogs can enjoy long and happy lives.
